Pushing Your Nokia S60 Beyond "Default"

Tuesday September 12, 2006
So your cell phone is okay: you can talk and text to anyone at any time, WAP or phone to get directions, or play the latest shoot 'em up. But somehow that just doesn't do it for you. You want your phone to make your breakfast -- prepare the bagles (including lox and cream cheese) and brew the espresso -- and keep it warm until you wake up. This scenario does not appear among the projected uses of most cell phones. If you have the right hardware, however, your Nokia S60 may now be made to pull off this tour de magique.

Nokia has recently launched a wiki specifically for programmers of the Nokia S60. If you are uncertain about embedded programming, this tutorial should help you. If you are interested in other advanced applications of Python, you may enjoy browsing through these tutorials.
