Python for Bioinformatics

From time to time, this site offers book reviews on works that are important or helpful to Python programmers. Reviews of books on Django and mobile programming are on the way. This month, however, Wiley has come out with a book that I shall not review but would still highlight. Bioinformatics Programming in Python: A Practical Course for Beginners is based on a programming course taught to biology students at the University of Heidelberg. Consequently, the content deals largely with life sciences and not computer science issues. You can find more information on Wiley's website. If you are interested in buying it, check prices at PriceGrabber.
