Python Jobs - "It's an exciting time to be a Python developer."
Friday April 4, 2008
PyCon saw a 70% jump in attendance this year. Python was recently named as TIOBE's language of 2007 for its significant growth in mindshare. To quote Chris McAvoy, founder and president of the Chicago Python Users Group: "It's an exciting time to be a Python developer." Increasingly, there appears to be more work than developers available. So, if you don't know Python yet, jump on the bandwagon with the beginner's tutorials or the faster-paced "Hello, World!" tutorial. From there, you can go onto greater things by programming for databases, the Web, or more advanced projects.
If you know Python and are looking for a new position, you will find a plethora of posts available in the "Python Jobs" section. There is something for everyone there. If you don't know what to ask for a salary, be sure to consult the salary calculator before accepting a position.
