How Much Are Python Skills Worth?

Tuesday May 20, 2008
As stated in this space previously, Python programmers do not seem to change jobs very often. While part of this may be due to their being content where they are, they are also in increasing demand. According to ITJobsWatch, a UK-based site for monitoring how much British IT professionals earn, the average annual salary for a Python programmer 3 months to this month was £44,876 GBP. That is up from last year and, at current exchange, is equivalent to around $87,767 USD (rates from XE.com). If you are uncertain that you are paid what you should, try the salary checker to ensure you are getting paid what you are worth.
