Creative Search Technology With Python

Marziah Karch, About's guide to Google, has recently posted an exposé of creative ways that Google's search technology has been applied. Many do not know that Google makes extensive use of Python and continues to hire Python programmers. As Peter Norvig, director of search quality at Google, has said: "Python has been an important part of Google since the beginning, and remains so as the system grows and evolves. Today dozens of Google engineers use Python, and we're looking for more people with skills in this language."

While you cannot ask for a better language recommendation than that, Industrial Light and Magic also uses Python. If you have seen Star Wars, Episode II: Attack of the Clones, you saw a movie made with Python.
